Hi
I am reliably advised (by Markneukirchen Museum) that I am the lucky owner of the oldest know numbered Tenor Sax by O. Adler & Co.
It is in superb playing condition and I believe it is an LP horn judging by tone hole distances. It is being played against a tuner to confirm tomorrow. Would you be interested to see pictures? Its serial number is 1075 which dates it around 1915.
Thankyou Paul

Hello Paul. How nice to hear from you!

Yes, I would love some photos.

I will email you and you can reply to me with the photos.

Years ago I bid on an extremely old Oscar Adler tenor. I was rather heart broken when I lost the auction. I would have to look it up in the gallery since I kept the photos, but it had all its original paper work; case; MP; accessories. Everything. IIRC, it was circa 1920. It was in remarkable condition.

It would have been quite the old-timer for my German collection. Sadly, I have not found another OA tenor that has interested me as much since. (Yes, I am fussy.) ๐Ÿ˜‰
