Please consider donating some money—even a small amount is greatly appreciated—towards the costs of hosting, restoring, updating, & maintaining the site.

The original Bassic Sax Blog and website have been experiencing enormous traffic for years. It had come to be the Internet’s #1 site for many of the least understood, but some of the most popular brands and styles of vintage and unusual saxophones.

In 2025, the original Bassic Sax and Bassic Sax Blog experienced major database crashes that took weeks to get restored. I then added new research I had been working on for years, and now have put the site to bed as it were.

From Jan 1, 2026 onwards, no new content will be added to the original sites, and they will only be maintained so that I can copy and update the relevant information to this, The New Bassic Sax.

As you can imagine this is going to be A LOT of work; take quite a bit of time; and cost some serious $$ as the new website takes shape.

Please support me in my efforts.

The New Bassic Sax will still focus on bass saxophones, vintage German saxophones, and the weird and wonderful world of sax-shaped things. It will also include all the most important articles and features from the old site that have kept people back year, after year, after year.

All donations are greatly appreciated, and go directly towards the costs of maintaining and hosting the New Bassic Sax.

Thank you.
