The original Bassic Sax Blog and website have been experiencing enormous traffic for years. It had come to be the Internet’s #1 site for many of the least understood, but some of the most popular brands and styles of vintage and unusual saxophones.
A couple of months ago both the website and blog experienced major database crashes that I have not been able to get fixed yet.
I decided this was the perfect opportunity to reconsider the focus of my site; update the content; and move only the relevant information to an updated and upgraded website. Hence the New Bassic Sax for 2025 and Beyond. 🙂
As you can imagine this is going to be A LOT of work; take quite a bit of time; and cost some serious $$ as the new website takes shape.

The New Bassic Sax will still focus on bass saxophones, vintage German saxophones, and the weird and wonderful world of sax-shaped things. It will also include all the most important articles and features from the old site that have kept people back year, after year, after year.
